If you are anything like me, you love incorporating fun and educational activities into your classroom routines! Even further, it is a personal preference to engage students in themed activities that go along with the seasons and what is going on in our world. This blog will discuss 4 educational and fun activities for your child or students to engage with this spring season!
- One of my favorite activities to do with children (if you can get access to chicken eggs) is to hatch chicks! Surprisingly, this is a relatively easy process. There are endless learning goals you can achieve while hatching chicks with your child or student. Learning about animal life cycles in the spring is a common theme in education and for good reason. Children are engaged and learn SO much! If you are interested in hatching chicks or already do this with your children/students, I have an activity set that can go along with your hatching extravaganza! - Speaking of cycles, animal cycles are popular in education in spring, but so are weather cycles! For young learners, one of the earliest weather cycles they should learn about is the water cycle. There are so many neat science experiments and activities you can do with children to reinforce this concept. If you are looking for a water cycle activity set to help your child or students learn this concept this spring, click HERE!
- If you live in North America, you have probably heard of the Great North American Solar Eclipse happening this April. It is a pretty big deal, and many schools even have off the entire school day as major traffic is anticipated for travelers from all over who want to come view the solar eclipse! You can’t miss out on teaching about this concept this April and it will be something your child/students remember for a lifetime. Check out this Solar Eclipse activity packet that has everything you need for an entire day to celebrate. Solar Eclipse 2024 Activities | Solar Eclipse 2024 | ELA, Math, Craft & More!
Happy Spring,
